Privacy policy

The short version

We store no information about your shoppers. The app holds your store account details (which Shopify provides so the app can run) and the safety contacts you choose to enter, such as your manufacturer and EU responsible person. When you uninstall the app, your data is deleted.

What we do not collect

GPSR Safety Sync does not collect, store, or process any personal data about your customers. The safety panel is built from the product information you provide; it does not read or record anything about the people browsing your store.

What we hold, and why

To run the app, we hold:

• Your store account details. Your store domain and the name and email Shopify shares when you install, so we can authenticate you and operate the app.
• The safety contacts you enter. The manufacturer, importer, and EU responsible person details you type in (a name or company, an address, and an email), saved as reusable defaults and applied to your products. This is information about businesses and named responsible people that you choose to provide to meet your GPSR obligations.
• Feedback you send us. If you use the in-app feedback form, we receive your message, your store domain, and an optional reply email address you provide, so we can read and respond to your feedback.

This website

This website (gpsrsync.com) is a set of static information pages. It does not set tracking cookies or build a profile of you. If we ever add basic, privacy-friendly visitor measurement, we will collect only aggregate, non-identifying counts, and we will update this policy first.

Who helps us run the service

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the service: Shopify (the platform the app runs on), our hosting and database providers, and an email provider used only to deliver the feedback messages you send us. Each processes only what is needed to provide their part of the service.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall, the app deletes your store's data, including your saved safety contacts and settings. This also runs automatically through Shopify's standard shop data-deletion process.

Your choices

You can review or change your saved details inside the app at any time, and you can remove them by deleting them in the app or by uninstalling. If you would like a copy of the data we hold about your store, or have any privacy question, contact us using the email below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
